Some Sweets And A Little Project

For Christmas we had a get together at my house (yeah!) where we had hot chocolate by the fire and opened presents. I had a blast. It was so much fun and different at the same time. We tried something new for Christmas this year and I think it worked out really well. On Christmas Eve I made the Neiman Marcus Cookies. They went over well. I think they were a little too crisp for my taste though they did taste good.

I also had made some homemade marshmallows from a recipe that I found on the Martha Stewart website. We served them on top of my sister's Mexican Chocolate. Talk about yummy! I had never tried it before and it tasted good. It will definitely be a repeat here. I really liked the flavor of the chocolate.

I have been in a crafting mood since last week and have completed a few small projects. I crocheted my daughter a scarf for the cold winter days and I just finished this purse. It was so cute! I plan on making a couple more in a different yarn style and color. Now I am off to see what else I can make!

The cookies look lovely! I too have been in a crafting mood lately, but for me that means I make another knitted scarf . . I need to learn how to make something else!
