Chocolate Crostatas

I am a big fan of the Food Network and I have become addicted to Everyday Italian. I have seen the Halloween episode so many times already that I became intrigued by the Chocolate Crostatas. I decided to make them tonight just for kicks and let me tell you....Wow! They were really good. I think next time it would be a good idea to try a different jam. Maybe a raspberry. (I don't care much for the Orange Marmalade) It was very good though. Not sure what they are supposed to be like, but my crust was very soft. Like a cookie. I loved it! I am actually thinking of making just the crust as small cookies. It didn't take long to make them and I think they would be a good party dessert. You have to try them.

Thanks for being the guinea pig on this one! I had my eye on it too. I think the orange marmalade is just to provide the Halloween-appropriate color and I agree that a berry jam would be much better.

Oooh, that looks good! I agree with the raspberry jam. Or maybe cherry? :)

I was a very happy guinea pig! I want to try them again. You know I was thinking of maybe instead of jam putting in maybe some mocha mousse or something like that. I haven't gotten either one of her books yet, but I plan on it very soon I hope!
