Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!

This past weekend we attended the Floydada Punkin Days Festival. We had so much fun. The festival was in the middle of downtown and was full of food booths, craft booths, entertainment and of course...Pumpkins! There was a huge trailer full of different sizes of pumpkins that everyone could guess on how much they weighed. The winner would receive $100. It was overcast and sprinkled a little bit, but it was still a good time. I had pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread and....tacos. I passed by the stands with the roasted corn and turkey legs, and the foot long corndogs or burgers. For some odd reason, tacos just sounded good to me. I forgot my camera in the truck during the festival so I don't have any pictures of that, but I did get a picture of this house down the street. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. The house next to it was decorated with just as many pumpkins.

On the way home we stopped by a pumpkin patch to get some to take home for decorating. There were so many different kinds and so many different sizes. I had never been to one like that before. The entire farm stand was lined with different sizes of pumkins in all shapes an colors.

They had places where you could take pictures and all the pumpkins were for sale. There was so many people but you didn't mind because it was such a huge place. They even had little wagons for you to haul all of your pumpkins around in.

This car was everyone's favorite. They had it made to look like a pumpkin. It was so much fun that I can't wait to go again next year!

I've been hearing so much about this season's shortage of pumpkins, Michelle, that it's refreshing to see that there's plenty of them in some locations. Such pretty gourds...

Looks like fun, I live next door to a pumpkin patch and can you believe it, I've never vistied. I don't know where my head has been? I love the new designer pumpkins, especially the grey, knobby variety, they look so fanciful. I also saw one in the store that was blood red, quite beautiful!
