What is in a name?
My daughter is taking a class for her Sophomore year that I believe is called Food Science. She came home with her homework assignment the other day that after hearing about it I thought, “Man, that is a cool idea!” The teacher told her that everyone is supposed to look up a recipe that begins with the letters of their names and then she is to choose which one sounds most appealing to her and she has to make it. I am sure some kids were like “cool, my name only has 3 letters!” Unfortunately, hers has 8. She found them ok, but I thought she would have a hard time finding one for the U. I think the K was the hardest for her to find. I am not sure which recipe she chose to make yet, but I figured I wanted to give this a try. I will update with the recipe list as soon as I choose the ones I thought would be nice. I think it would be interesting to see what everyone else likes. Hmm…. Just an idea!

That recipe assignment sounds like it's definitely weighted against the long of name. I'd really have a problem with the "z". Maybe a zebra mussel?

I do most of the cooking when my wife is working and your site looks really helpful.
I also have a sophmore this year, but I think he had enough life science in middle school. It would more useful than some of the stuff they make him take.

Wow! She's taking food science? How cool is that?! How come they didn't offer that when I was in school there? :( How about kabobs? Or a Kahlua dessert? Or Kalamata olive pizza or Key lime pie? And for the U....hmmm....udon noodles? :) Love you...
