Tomato Basil Bread

Last week when we went to the county fair I bought a package mix from a vendor there to make Tomato Basil Bread. It isn't like a regular loaf of bread. It was savory. It came out crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. You can really taste the tomato & herbs with EVERY bite. My mom & I thought it would be delicious with spaghetti or some other kind of pasta. There isn't a recipe to post but I do have their website where it can be purchased. The vendor had TONS of package mixes for other things. The other mix I purchased was a Bacon Cheese Meatloaf mix. (Which we are having tonight for dinner) There were mixes for sweets, dips, breads, cheesecakes, spice rubs and almost everything else you can imagine. I for one do plan on purchasing more. It was delicious!

Seriously, you are much better off if you add your own fresh ingredients. Such mixes usually have flavor enhancers, and concentrates, which although might taste good, is never like the real thing.

I am strangely hungry now. I've sent the link for this entry to my kitchen-genius wife. If anyone can reverse-engineer a recipe, it would be she.
